Poetry zine release party with readings

Taryl and Andrew are lifelong Alaskans and friends who met working in a kitchen together in the early 2000’s.  They have both been writers and poets since before they can remember, their writing styles are very different but have proven they can come together on the page.  Taryl, being more of a spoken word poet, and Andrew creating beautifully dark visuals with words.  Striving to bring more all ages events to anchorage has been one of Andrew’s main feats, be it music and now poetry with the help of Taryl and her connections to the poetry community. They are so very thrilled to share this collection of works with their community in hopes it will encourage others to speak and write their truths and share their stories of the cold, dark, desolate and beautiful landscape that is Alaska.
