I am a mixed bag of life experiences.
I have led a nomadic life since childhood, embarking on an unconventional path that took me to music school in Los Angeles as a teenager, hitchhiking cross country to Rainbow Gatherings and Grateful Dead shows, travel writing in Australia, radio and print journalism in Texas, Alaska and Russia; and I’ve a creative track that yielded a professional career as a vocalist and voice over artist, and possess a drive to fiction, politics and performance art. I was the co-founder and creator of the former Alaska arts and culture publication, F Magazine. I also pour my passions into a number of different arenas including directing youth musical theatre, advocacy art making, and teaching middle school children to find themselves in and through words.
