6pm: Sleeping Ladye Waites (Medieval/Baroque music)

Sleeping Ladye Waites emerged four years ago from a small group of musicians with a passion for playing early music–from the Medieval through the Baroque Era. The group is now comprised of a growing number of musicians who play various early instruments form recorders to cornamusen, gambas to sackbuts.  This concert will include “Brunhilda,” a contrabass recorder that stands five feet tall! The performance will include vocal arrangements of Renaissance music, a Baroque concerto for strings, harpsichord and recorder, a recorder quartet, a cello sonata, and more.  Join them for a tour of music seldom heard performed live in Anchorage!
