6:30pm: Women’s Entrepreneurship Week–Mentorship Matters

October 23, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

In celebration of Women’s Entrepreneurship Week, the UA Center for Economic Development and UAA College of Business and Public Policy are hosting a gathering all about mentorship!

Women engaged in mentorships programs experience greater confidence, create connections through networking and receive guidance from their mentors. Entrepreneurs with mentors are five times more likely to start and maintain a business.

Join us at The Writer’s Block for a night highlighting the positive change mentorship brings. Hear from UAA Chancellor Cathy Sandeen, CBPP Dean Karen Markel, and a panel of mentors alongside their mentees: Kimberly Y. Waller + Amanda J. Allard and Katherine Jernstrom + Eric McCallum.

Plus, be the first to see US Senator Lisa Murkowski alongside Rachel Kallander and Caroline Humphreys in a video debut examining mentorship throughout their careers.

Delicious refreshments available for purchase.
